A member asked:

Whats signs of swimmer's ear infection and is it possible you'll get a fever from it i been having sore throat hoarse voice and ear pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain/no: The classical sign of swimmers ear is pain when the external ear is moved(tugged) along with canal drainage. The condition happens by itself in those who don't remove water from the canal accumulated from swimming or other exposures. It rarely produces fever & has nothing to do with a sore throat. When these 3 areas are involved concurrently it is usually a bacterial infection.
