I have a constant pain on my left side "behind" my ribs going up behind my breast. this constant pain also stabs every few (about 45 )seconds. did take buscopan and rennies with panado, but no relief. became progressively worse as the day continued.

Doctor can evaluate: A person with pain at the left chest or rib cage should see her doctor to be evaluated. Pains can come from a heart problem (serious!), neck and shoulder muscles, the ribs and their joints, the lungs inside the chest, etc... If one feels her pain is coming from the heart, has a chest tightness, some difficulty breathing, or has past heart disease, she should go to the Emergency Room by ambulance.
