Gastroenterologist: I recommend an evaluation by a gastroenterologist as your symptoms are significant and persistent. Possibilities include gastritis, pylorospasm, peptic ulcer and esophageal spasm. Gall stones are a less likely possibility. Your evaluation may include a gastroscopy. In the meantime avoid alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, spicy and oily foods. Take a medication like prilosec daily until your appointment.
