How can chronic illness be different from acute illness, and what are some examples please?

Long and short of it: Chonic diseases last a long time and dont resolve well. Example - chonic back pain a patient will say "i have had back pain for the last 10 years" acute diseases are usually sudden onset and resolve. Example - acute back pain. "i lifted a weight an hurt my back" i hope this helps.

Why should I get a chronicity scan?
I want to the er last night with back pain they did a x-ray and sent me home b4 the x-rays came back. I got the results on my portal its say Superior endplate compression deformities at T12 and L1, uncertain chronicity. What dose this mean?

My chest X-ray only mentions acute illnesses that are not present. It does not mention chronic illnesses at all. Should I be concerned?
