A member asked:

If i go and see an urologist. when i get there i pay for my consultation he sends me to do a ct scan. when i come back they ask me to pay for another consultation. is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If a different day: If you go to a doctor who charges per visit (that's the usual way) or to a cafe that charges by the meal, then seeing a doctor on 2 different days means you get charged for 2 visits, and eating on 2 different days at a cafe means you pay for 2 meals. That's the normal way things are done. Sometimes there are "global" charges, meaning there is one big charge for all visits related to one procedure.
