Yes: Free T4 levels are not that important. The active form of thyroid hormone is T3. If your Free T3 is high you will have symptoms of hyperthyroidism and you can have a high Free T3 with a normal T4. Your doctor should be checking your Free T3 levels. If not doing so you should request this (or even better, find a doctor who understands that Free T3 is much more important to check than Free T4)!
