A member asked:

Abdominal ultrasound detected 6mm renal stone. ct (ordered to confirm stone) 3 months later came back without any findings. how is this possible?

You passed the stone: Although it is possible that there was an incorrect conclusion to the findings on the original ultrasound, it is more likely that the stone passed into the ureter and was excreted or that with good hydration, the stone dissolved. I hope you are feeling well again.

Renal stones: Was that stone removed? or did it pass? Stones are the product of metabolic activity -certain individuals are more prone to stones,. due to recurrent bladder infections, diet , chronic diseases like Crohn's that affect nutrient absorption.
