No expertise here: Here are my questions: has this athlete been evaluated by an orthopedist who treats high school/college athletes? Are the newly seen fractures thought to be due to same injury that caused the hairline fracture? Did the mechanism of injury seem like it would have logically caused the hairline fractures? Have you asked specifically if this athlete is at greater-than-average risk for fracture?
