A member asked:

Had ablation in left leg below knee in september of 2020. have had swollen lymph nodes (feels ropy) ever since inside the thigh running from above knee about 3/4 up the thigh. last two days sore and bumpiness very noticeable with a red streak?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Potentially serious: What kind of “ablation”? Regardless, if you’ve had prior surgery on your leg and now the leg is “sore” with “a red streak” could be ascending lymphangitis. Even more worrisome if you feel poorly overall with sweating, weakness, chills or fever. If no chills, fever or feeling poorly, have leg looked at in AM. Could be ascending lymphangitis If yes chills, fever or feeling poorly, to ER tonight
