Fluconazole Rx.: Fluconazole is given for the systemic treatment of yeast infections which means it travels through the blood stream to the infected area (e.g. the vagina) to have its' impact. Most times, local vaginal yeast Rx. agents are more effective as they treat the problem where it exists. If 2 weeks of Fluconazole have had no impact, consider a local agent as repetitive use of Fluconazole can impact liver.
