Last wednesday i went to the doctor and she confirmed that i had a vaginal yeast infection. she prescribed me fluconazole and assigned refills on it. my vaginal itchiness has not gone away. am i allowed to take a second pill to help my symptoms?

You can get an over the counter vaginal suppository anti-fungal medicine as well as anti fungal cream. This may help a lot. You can ask your pharmacist to recommend this treatment. If that doesn’t help along with the fluconazole, then call your doctor for further eval/treatment. Good luck!
