Stress causes all: Seizures, it's the type of stress that is important. Brain trauma or disease ( genetic, infectious, autoimmune, etc. ) that directly impacts the brain can result in seizure activity. Emotional pressure may make those worse. Stress can cause pseudoseizures (seizures with no medical basis). Certain medications used for depression can cause seizures ( wellbutrin (bupropion) for example). Talk to your doctor.

Reflex epilepsy?: Seizures are the reaction of the brain to some trigger. There are patients who seize to a certain sound, flickering lights, hot water, bladder infection, constipation, etc. Some develop a seizure due to stress or anxiety. The issue is whether medication is necessary or just to avoid the trigger. This should be addressed to your doctor with a thorough explanation.

Nonepileptic seizure: Usually when doctors say "stress-induced seizures" they are referring to a non-epileptic "convulsions" that are not the same as an epileptic neurological seizures as identified on eeg. The problem falls under a category of psychological illness called somatoform disorder & if there is a single profound unconscious stressor it may be conversion disorder. Some people will have both types of seizure.
