Not likely to be PE: If you have a CT of your chest that was normal, a significant PE is extremely unlikely. A small PE could be missed on CT but would not cause continued shortness of breath for such a long time unless there were repeated embolisms. If you have asthma, your breathing should improve with a bronchodilator (i.e. albuterol).

Shortness of breath/Air hunger. wheezing ( only upon first deep breath when lying down). gets better during sleep. CT scan chest normal, spirometry values normal per east Indian standard, abnormal per Caucasian standards. PEF always normal. Asthma ?
