Depends on location: The brain is a complex organ with different areas responsible for different functions. Symptoms of a "brain tumor" depend upon where the tumor is located in the brain. Some general symptoms of a brain tumor might include headache, new onset seizures, and visual disturbances. If you are concerned that you could have a brain tumor, see a physician for an exam and conversation.

It varies: Many have no symptoms. When symptoms are present, they vary considerably depending on the size, location, speed of growth, etc. Symptoms may include headaches as well as disruption of specific neurological functions (cognition, movement, sensation, etc.). That said, in my 11 years of neurology i've yet to have a patient who thought they had a brain tumor (a common concern) turn out to have one. :).
