Why do my eyelids sometimes swell up and turn red when im sleeping, its happens sometimes but goes away. i do have allergies, is it infected then?

Unlikely: more consistent with allergens contacting the eye and ensuing reaction. this would improve with second generation antihistamines (cetirizine, loratadine or fexofenadine) or eye drops for allergy (ketotifen or olopatadine)
