See Doctor again: Usually, it is a set of three steroid injections which are given over 6 weeks in the US. Call the Doctor back and tell them you are still in pain. I usually prescribe a painkiller and a taping dose of steroid. Perhaps until you get checked again they could prescribe something by mouth to treat the pain. Doctors don't know how you feel until you tell them.
