A member asked:

Hello, i was wondering if excessive sugar intake would be the cause of uti, yeast infection, and vaginitis. how common would it be to have all three conditions at the same time? women's health

Excess, no: It is how your body deals with sugar, not how much you eat that can lead to such problems. If you run higher than normal blood sugars as a type 2 diabetic, diagnosed or not, you are at risk of more vaginal yeast infections. Yeast loves sugar. A vaginal yeast infection is by definition a vaginitis. If you are irritated in that area you can also develop a UTI.
