Depends: Since allergies can change over time--develop more or sometimes lose allergies, it can be helpful to retest. While there is no one single correct answer, i generally test if symptoms suggest a new allergy or there is a new exposure. There is no reason to repeatedly test a patient already on allergy shots. To follow kids with food allergies, testing once a year is standard to assess for tolerance.
