Tampon misfit: The tampon may have been pushed in against the cervix (mouth of womb) which may have put pressure against the pelvic nerves. If the pain or discomfort went away after the tampon was removed then that may have been the cause. If not, contact your GYN MD as there may also be a problem like Endometriosis.

Remove it: Try removing the tampon and then replacing it with another one. Tampons should not make things so uncomfortable that it is hard to sit and move. If tampons are not working for you then you may just want to use a pad.
