Pads: You can help her with pads...they are larger and absorb more.
Too early for tampons..I agree.
Also she can dress appropriately so i is not visible for cosmetic reasons.
Liners may not be adequate.
First few months the periods can be erratic in all ways--frequency, duration, pain amount etc
