Gallbladder polyps: Are actually made of cholesterol crystals, so answer is yes if you are having symptoms. Conversely, if you are having no or minimal symptoms, the answer is no.

Size matters: Larger polyps over 1 cm in size should be considered for surgery. Also depends if there any abdominal symptoms, realizing that surgery only for tiny poylps may not result in much symptom relief either.
