Scapula: Steady pain in the scapula, if not due to recent injury, may be caused by pathology of the scapula itself, but is often caused by referred pain from a disc problem pressing on a nerve root as it exits between or from neck vertebrae. An orthopedic specialist or neuologist is best qualified to evaluate you and order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis.

Pain : Stress and depression won’t give pain around shoulder blade . It can be due to various reasons . More history and examination would help to form a diagnosis.
