A member asked:

I had a holter monitor about a decade ago. nothing significant found. ive had flutters since teens. they give me anxiety. should i do another holter?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: I recommend another but it may be advisable to have a more prolonged period of monitoring unless your symptoms occur within the first 24 hours. If you note flutters at a time when the recording shows no dysrhythmia, you will be adequately reassured that there is no abnormality of heart rate or rhythm. At home you may be able to check your pulse rate and rhythm during flutters which may be revealing
