Probably not HIV: Inflamed lymph nodes and other HIV symptoms don't come and go like this, and the rash in acute HIV infection is body wide. If you have been at risk for HIV (unsafe sex, needle sharing), you should be tested. But not because of these symptoms.

Impossible to know: anyone with risk factors for HIV should be tested. the initial signs of infection can be flu-like
