A member asked:

I have an inverted uterus. my mirena needs to be renewed, the first time was very painful and difficult. do i need a special procedure for it?

IUD insertion: Make sure you inform your healthcare provider about the orientation of your uterus (if not the same provider who inserted the present Mirena IUD) . This should not be a difficult or painful experience for you, and no "special procedure" is necessary.
