"Implano NXT": Progesterone implants can affect the regularity of one's periods by inhibiting ovulation, but the ovaries still produce estrogen. Estrogen production over time will thicken the lining of the uterus, and unpredictable bleeding may result. Sometimes also, the hormone content become lower and ovulation may occur, producing "periods".
