Pregnancy test: If your cycles were regular while you were on the IUD, removal of the IUD on 1/11 with a menstrual period starting on 12/18 would have been way after your ovulation, which would have been around 1/1, give and take a couple of days. However, any birth control method can fail, and if your period will not commence within a few days, a pregnancy test would tell whether you conceived despite the IUD.

Very unlikely: It is not easy to know how quickly your endometrium becomes receptive to an embryo after a ParaGard IUD is removed. It probably may take days. Even if you had ovulated on or about the day of removal of the IUD, the possibility of pregnancy would seem pretty small and very unlikely. A blood betaHCG pregnancy test on 1-21 is your best and earliest way to find out if you are pregnant.
