Yes,better not use'm: and check with your doctor to get a hearing test and may be an evaluation by an ENT specialist, tennitus might stop and won't recurr if you just refrain from using the ear buds, wish you well

Up to you: As long as the ear buds don’t make it worse should not be a problem. Would say turn down the volume though, if that’s part of how you got tinnitus in the first place !
