I had perineal abscess surgery 5 days ago and there is still a hard lump. i'm having no pain. is this part of the healing process or is this another?

Perineal abscess: After draining a "perineal abscess" the area of the infection is typically swollen and hard. if the area is not still draining, this will resolve, but abscessed areas frequently re-form if a drain is not placed in the abscess cavity, so see your surgeon if the pain and swelling persists.
