Fibroid tumor: An intramural fibroid may cause heavier periods, but if you are willing to try low dose oral bcp's until you are ready for pregnancy, since the pill will expose the fibroid to much less estrogen, the fibroid is not going to enlarge rapidly while on the bcp's. At 25, this kind of surgery can cause pelvic adhesions, and possibly compromise your fertility.
