Maybe/not: The rash & itching from scabies is primarily due to an allergic reaction to the poop the bug leaves in its burrows. It is not due to the bugs moving. It can take 6-8 weeks after the bugs are killed for your skin to recover and all symptoms to stop. Used correctly, there is no reason to re-treat unless you can identify new sites/burrows.
