A member asked:

Spot specific, upper abdominal pain. ct shows liver cysts, no other problem. pain after eating also. ongoing for 3 weeks now. can cysts be the reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely,?endoscopy: It is unlikely that the inicidental finding of a liver cyst is contributing to the pain. Perhaps a larger cyst or multiple cysts could cause some mild discomfort. It needs further evaluation with a follow-up visit. If the pain is after you eat (and presumably why a CT was ordered - and GB was normal), you could try a proton pump inhibitor -- whatever the case, working w/ a physician is crucial.
