PPI's: PPI's control stomach acidity but don't cure it. They're best taken in the morning before eating so that the parietal cells don't secrete acid. Avoid caffeine, alcohol,nicotine, medications like aspirin or ibuprofen, and get tested for H Pylori. If you're taking PPP's long term, be sure to take vitamin B12 under the tongue as it needs stomach acid to be absorbed if swallowed.
