Maybe: A Phrygian cap occurs when the tip of the gallbladder is folded back over the top of the liver. While is generally not thought to cause any symptoms, it is theoretically possible. Any other symptoms? What tests were done. If there is no cause for the pain and all the tests were done and normal, then it might make sense to remove the gallbladder as a last resort.
