A member asked:

Post gallbladder 6 months having severe acid in stomach causing nausated , upper gi normal, ultrasound normal. taking prisolec does not work.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not acid: Post cholecystectomy is not an indication for overexpression of acid and as such no Prilosec response. Nausea is due to reflux of stomach content, at times alkaline like bile into the esophagus. This appears to be an emptying of stomach and duodenum with CD bile. GI swallow or scoping may resolve issue.
