A member asked:

Im pregnant and traveling to hong kong next week. the flight is 13 hours and i will be there for a week. the dr proscribed clexane to take before the flight - how long before the flight do i injection myself and do i take it again when i arrive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clexane: pregnancy: The use of Clexane (enoxyparin) in pregnancy should be limited, as it is an anticoagulant. If prescribed by your physician, inject just prior to takoff, and not again until the return flight. This will help prevent blood clots from sitting long periods of time in a 13 hour flight. Try to walk multiple times during the long flight as well.
