Tick bite: If there is no rash which has developed, you could hold off on antibiotics but observe for a rash or other symptoms that could indicate infection. I don't know if lyme disease is endemic in your area. However many physicians, including myself, would rather treat with a 2 week course of doxycycline as a preventive. Discuss with your physician
