Blood in mouth: Before worrying about cancer I would worry about gum disease or swallowed blood from your nose because of bad allergies Once the bleeding tissue is resolved I would then investigate the possibility of lung cancer. However, gum disease would be my major concern

Cancer screening: A chest radiograph is suggested and a sample for your sputum may be sent for analysis, including cytology, AFB smear and culture and bacterial culture. If you have nasal congestion, a nasal source, is another possible causes. Rinse nasal passages and take an antihistamine for possible relief. I agree that you should also have a check of your gums by your dentist.
