Hard painful lump: Common cause for this description is inflamed lymph node which can occur after infection of any of the multiple organisms from infection in lower part of face or tongue or teeth, tonsils. If you can think of any infection, see doctor and cell counts and urine.. if it starts to get better, then you wait 2 weeks on antibiotic and anti inflammatory medication. Other concern- STDs and cancer
