During hernia repair , my doctor took a biopsy of matted lymph nodes in the groin area. why? should i be concerned? cancer? thank you!

If nodes are-: -readily available they are biopsied as a routine by some hernia surgeons. Usually there is no concern but they may have looked abnormal so the node is sent for eval in the pathology department. To find out why & the result ask your surgeon.
