A member asked:

My two year old has a reoccurring rash. the first time a month ago it followed a fever. this time no symptoms just the same type of rash.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It happens: Kids often get mild viral illnesses that are followed by a non-specific skin rash. The rash represents the virus combined with antibody going to its final resting place on the skin surface. They build their immunity this way. There are dozens of named & in-named viral illnesses with this pattern. It happens more when young because they develop immunity as they age.
