My 2 year old has a fever since yesterday and tonsillitis. today he started getting a rash, he does not want to eat and drinks very little. also tired the whole time. the rash is on his legs, arms and back. what could be the problem?

Strep .....and..: A percentage of strep germs carry the additional genes to trigger a skin rash. It usually appears within 12 hrs of the fever, is often describes as sunburn like with a sandpaper feel. Other germs can also trigger a rash,Untreated strep throat can result in significant long term complications. i would make sure the kid is tested for strep & treated if positive.
