A member asked:

I was on depo for 6 years and then switched to nexplanon had that for 3 years i am not on anything now its been 9 weeks and no period?

Normal response: It can take up to a year for menses to resume after going off hormonal birth control. There is nothing other than staying healthy with a well balanced diet and regular exercise you can do to make your menses start sooner. It should be noted that you do ovulate prior to your period starting. Make sure to take a pregnancy test to ensure you are not pregnant.
