I have what i believe is sciatica but, i wanted to make sure. i sit at an office for work for long periods of time. i put on about 30 lbs recently. i developed burning pain in lower back above right hip that leads to back of leg. no other symptoms.

It does sound like: sciatica, and what you mentioned happening recently likely contributed to cause this problem. Sciatica is a nerve impingement syndrome that occurs specifically to the nerve that leads out of your spine into your buttock and down your leg. It can improve with back stretching exercises daily, taking Naprosyn or Ibuprofen daily, and weight loss. If the condition does not improve, you need a MD.
