I woke up one week ago with pain in knee/ leg. walking makes it get worse, pain radiates from knee to left inner side of leg down the back of calf. it is heavy feeling and when i relax and sit down it gets some better, nothing helps. xray normal?

There are many: possible diagnoses that could explain your symptoms. Simple arthritis or blood clot in your calf are just two. Without an examination and some additional studies it will be impossible to say for certain. Make an appointment with a health care provider as soon as possible for evaluation.
