How long after appendix surgery may i drive again?

When you feel ready: If you can walk around the house and walk to the car, you may drive. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Soon: Assuming no secondary infection, abscess or other complication driving can be resumed 10 -14 days after an open procedure, care being taken to avoid sudden forceful movements. If laparoscopically performed and in the absence of worrisome symptoms 48-72 hours is OK.
