Less recovery time: Recovery time with laparoscopic surgery and limited incision is much less than usual abdominal surgery. Most appendectomies are performed now with laparoscopic surgery, much less invasive than conventional surgery. incision smaller and blood loss less. Abdomen distended with carbon dioxide for surgery. Some discomfort related to distention. Recovery time may be reduced to less than week.
