Time for the ER: Black in stools is considered blood, unless there is another good explanation for the black color. Bloody diarrhea means a trip to the ER, for an examination and tests. The doctors will figure out what's wrong. It's best to go to the ER instead of waiting at home to see what happens next.

Bowel movements have become irregular in the last months. Sometimes they are quite large and sometimes they are just pebbles. Usually once every 3 days. Not sure why its so inconsistent. Increased fibre, berries, and water have had no impact. Help?
