A member asked:

Can my 3 month old daughter goon tamiflu as a preventive through flu season?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I'd never do it: Although it is approved in infants there are significant common side effects at that age that limits its use. Seizures or neurologic events, nausea & other symptoms of flu are common. I rarely use it in infancy unless kids are hospitalized with flu. Using it as a preventative for a season would be risky at best.
