Work in progress: Many kid epilepsy patients are a work in progress. There are multiple available medications and depending on the type of seizures, some seem to work better than others. Occasionally a combination works best. The process of finding that best balance between control & medication dosing is frustrating but usually successful. Pediatric neurologists are often best suited to sort it out.

Please repost and clarify what you find unsatisfactory about the child’s current status and epilepsy treatment. Is he having seizures despite treatment? Is he being treated at all? Does his doctor propose treating him with a seizure medication? If so, have you consented or refused?
